Slim quarto (23cm); offset printed sheets, sewn into handmade brick red pictorial card covers; goldenrod endpapers; [16]pp. From the library of National Book Award-winning author Barry Hannah (1942-2010), with the followng note in his hand at upper front endpaper: "Bought 6 19 94 / Sg. Books after a cool rain at 93° / Good to see my favorite poet sitting right there by my coffee – Oxford 94." Simic has inscribed this copy to Hannah directly beneath: "For Barry: My super chicken! Charlie / June 22, 94 / Bow Lake, WH." Hint of sunning to spine-fold, with a few faint, tiny stains at center spread; Near Fine.

A warm association copy of this chapbook by Simic. Both he and Hannah were connected through The Paris Review, enjoyed a long friendship, and held each other's work in great esteem. 8586.
