One of 350 numbered copies specially bound and signed by the illustrator on the colophon, this being copy no.7. Folio (43cm); binding by Gray Parrot in full burgundy crushed morocco titled in gilt on spine, with large gilt-stamped crowns on covers within double-ruled borders; xxvi,[3],4-163,[9]pp; illustrated with 95 wood engravings by Barry Moser. This copy has additionally been inscribed by Moser on the colophon in green pen to bookseller Rebecca Blosser Desmarais and her husband, beneath which he has reproduced the illustration of an old rattle, which appears on p.44 near the Tweedledee and Tweedledum chapter: "For the Desmarais / Dear friends." Rebecca Desmarais is among the names singled out for special thanks on the Acknowledgements page. A Fine copy. Accompanied by a suite of 80 engravings, each signed by Moser in pencil, along with two bifolium gatherings with original pencil sketches by Moser tipped in (in this case, rough illustrations of a frog and a lion), all housed in a beige cloth chemise; Fine. All housed in a large beige cloth and burgundy morocco clamshell case, with titled stamped in gilt on spine; light wear to extremities, with a few splash marks to spine.

A handsome edition of Carroll's classic 1871 novel – one of the defining productions of the Pennyroyal Press, published the year after their Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1981).
