Slim octavo (21.5cm); mimeographed sheets stapled into beige pictorial card wrappers illustrated by the author; [32]pp. Trivial wear to spine ends, tiny stain to rear wrapper; contents fresh; Near Fine. Laid into this copy is an original, contemporary black & white photo of the author (measuring 4" x 4 1/8"), seated and smoking a cigarette outdoors (location unknown); Near Fine. Together with Bukowski's January 10, 1972 telephone bill from Pacific Bell.
A humorous, early foray into prose, chronicling (in painful detail) the account of the author's hemorrhoid operation and hospitalization, which kept him away from work for several months.
