This copy with the publisher's device stamped on rear cover (lacking on some copies, with no established priority). Pictorial bookplate of George Macaulay Booth (1877-1971) on front pastedown, wiht his contemporary ink signature and address on front endpaper. Gentle sunning to spine, some offsetting to front endpaper, with faint foxing to text; Very Good+, lacking the rare dustjacket. A novella centered around an unnamed London telegraphist who deciphers the clues to her clients' personal lives through their various telegrams while working at the post office.
