Octavo (19.75cm); navy blue cloth, with titling and decorations stamped in gilt and light blue on spine and front cover; dustjacket; [2],xii,[2],3-391,[3]pp, with tissue-guarded frontispiece and seven plates. Both the binding and dustjacket were designed by Margaret Armstrong. Faint foxing to text edges and upper margins of a few plates, else very Near Fine, with the decorative elements entirely unrubbed. In the original dustjacket, gently spine-sunned, showing modest wear, shallow losses to spine ends and upper left corner of rear panel, with several tiny tears and attendant creases, and some faint, scattered foxing; Very Good+.
