Mrabet's first novel, taped and translated by Paul Bowles. "The novel tells the story of a young Moroccan who has been having a homosexual affair with a European, Mr. David. However, he suddently starts to make frequent visits to his home again, after noticing that a neighbor's beautiful daughter watches him from her window. He succeeds in seducing the girl with the aid of herbs, and is then forced into marriage by her family.
