London: Faber & Faber, 1995. First Edition. New. Item #26
First Printing of Pamuk's second novel. The book is Fine, with barely a trace of the usual darkening to the paper on the top edge. The jacket is also Fine, with the original price of UK 14.99 net unclipped. It bears some pretty simplistic, yet strikingly different artwork than that of the American edition, published by FSG a year earlier. There is an imperceptible trace of lightening to the red on the spine. This copy has been signed boldly in black by Pamuk, the first Turkish winner of the Nobel Prize. A mystery novel set in Istanbul involving an amateur sleuth, missing persons, and investigative journalists. Considerably less common than the American edition.
