Description

First Printing, one of 20,300 copies. Near Fine in a Very Good+ dustjacket. A sharp copy of the book, with the topstain slightly dulled, some very faint offset to the pastedowns and endpapers, and an imperceptible smudge to the gold label on the front panel. The First State jacket is unclipped, with the $2.00 price present and the Laurence Stallings quote on the rear panel. Minor chipping at the spine ends, with some moderate sunning to the same, affecting the title and author's name; two closed tears present along the upper front flap fold, measuring two inches and one inch respectively. A smaller one is present along the front joint, along with some general edgewear. Hemingway's fourth collection of stories, marking the first appearance of several notable ones. Hanneman A12a.
