Original pressbook for the 1953 film noir 'The Big Heat,' based on William P. McGivern's novel of the same name. 'The Big Heat' was the first of four McGivern novels to be made into noir films during the 1950's. 16 pages, saddle stitched, measuring 12 X 16 inches. A Very Good+ copy, with a faint horizontal fold at the center of the pressbook, a touch of light rubbing along the spine, and a single closed tear a the left edge of the rear wrapper. Includes the single sheet insert with casting, credits, and story synopsis printed on plain white stock, measuring 8.5 X 11 inches. Directed by Fritz Lang, and starring Glenn Ford, Gloria Grahame, Jocelyn Brando, and Lee Marvin.
