Premiere issue of L.A.'s first punk publication. Contents include an interview with The Damned, a Screamers pictorial, and reviews 'White Riot' (The Clash), 'Anarchy in the U.K.' (The Sex Pistols), 'The Idiot' (Iggy Popp), 'Leave Home' (The Ramones), and 'Marquee Moon' (Television). Slash was to the Los Angeles scene what PUNK was to the New York scene, running a year longer than PUNK did and instrumental in changing the face of music in L.A. An important debut.
