Comments

The compelling memoir of hip-hop pioneer DJ Grandmaster Flash, a native of Barbados who moved to the South Bronx with his family in the late 1950's. Flash, along with his group The Furious Five (Cowboy, Melle Mel, Kid Creole, Raheim, and Scorpio), pioneered the art of MCing and break-beat DJing throughout the 70's and 80's; they are generally credited with being among the early architects of the hip-hop movement, and have the distinction of being the first hip-hop group inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Signed copies are scarce in the trade.
