Comments

An exquisite volume designed by Jean-Marc Chevallier (1945-2012), containing the text of Ginsberg's 1974 poem written as a response to the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians. The poem was incorporated as Song #2 in Hydrogen Jukebox, a chamber opera that was a collaborative work between Ginsberg and musician Philip Glass. The book was produced in a tiny run of 45 numbered copies, 10 copies lettered A-J printed on coton Fabriano, and 4 copies lettered W-Z on papier boucherie. Rare; OCLC finds 3 copies only (UC Berkeley, UNC Chapel Hill, Morgan Library), and we note 2 others at the Centre International de Poésie, Marseille and the Italian National Library. Morgan H104.
