Attractive copy of McClure's play, which opened on the second night of the Siege of Berkeley, May 16, 1969. The volume includes the poem "To James B. Rector," to whom the play was dedicated. Rector was killed in Berkeley on "Bloody Thursday" by Alameda County Sheriff deputies on May 19, 1969. Morrow & Cooney 77a.
