Comments

First appearance of Bukowski's story in this comics review magazine, the earliest of several collaborative works with cartoonist R. Crumb, who would go on to illustrate Bring Me Your Love (1983), There's No Business (1984), and The Captain Is Out to Lunch and the Sailors Have Taken Over the Ship (1997). Cover art by Crumb, along with stories by him, Art Spiegelman, Spain Rodriguez, Aline Kominsky, S. Clay Wilson, and George Kuchar's illustrated "Life of H.P. Lovecraft."
