First Printing. Near Fine in printed wrappers with French flaps. Wrappers have a touch of light edgewear, with the laminate starting to peel/lift in a few spots. The volume contains the screenplay for Truffaut's 1973 film "Day For Night" starring Jacqueline Bisset, and his personal journal written while filming Ray Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451." Generously illustrated with numerous black and white photographs from both films. This copy has been inscribed by Truffaut to film editor Rudi Fehr on the title page. "Par Rudi Fehr, Amicolement, Francois Truffaut." Fehr's credits include House of Wax (1953), I Confess (1953), and Dial M for Murder (1954). After a long hiatus, Fehr returned to edit One from the Heart (1982) and the John Huston-directed Prizzi's Honor (1985), for which he was nominated for an Oscar. In 1993 he received the American Cinema Editors Career Achievement Award. Books inscribed by Truffaut with any sort of significant film associations are rare.
