Complete run of this short-lived successor publication to Notley's mimeographed poetry magazine Chicago, which she published from the Windy City between February 1972-March 1973 (six issues). Late in 1973, Notley's husband, Ted Berrigan, left his position at Northeastern Illinois University and took a job as visiting poet at the University of Essex. The family relocated to England, where Notley continued publishing Chicago between October 1973-June 1974. The magazine contained much of Notley's new poetry, with contributions by Berrigan, Allen Ginsberg, Philip Whalen, George Oppen, Anne Waldman, Bernadette Mayer, Ron Padgett, Joe Ceravolo, Aram Saroyan, Tom Clark, Anselm Hollo, Robert Creeley, Bob Rosenthal, Bill Berkson, and others. We find no examples for sale in the trade (Sept.2017), and OCLC notes 16 holdings for the European edition, of these, only 12 in U.S. institutions. Clay & Phillips, p.268.
