[Denver, CO]: Alekos Records / Wax Trax Records, 1981. The Beat poet's first shot a punk rock credibility, released a year before he appeared on The Clash's "Ghetto Defendant." Side A records his anti-Reagan poem "Birdbrain" backed by Mike Chapell's Denver-based band The Gluons, with the bands "Sue Your Parents" on Side B. There were reportedly five pressings of 1,000 copies, each with a number of sleeve variations, though the earliest of these were screenprinted in color. OCLC notes 8 holdings. Morgan F82. Item #2640
Single 33 1/3 rpm 7" vinyl disc, with white and red label and original dust-sleeve, rubber-stamped with Wax Trax Records' Denver address; photographic outer sleeve screen-printed in colors. Record Near Mint; dust-sleeve with mild wear and a few short splits to extremities, with the outer sleeve in Fine condition. Lacking the original printed insert sheet.
