Octavo (20.5cm); emerald green cloth, with titles stamped in gilt on spine and Homeric bow embossed to front cover; pale green topstain; dustjacket; [6], 766pp. Lower board corners gently tapped (though still sharp), previous owners initials neatly rubber-stamped to upper right corner of front endpaper, else fresh and clean throughout; Near Fine. Dustjacket is unclipped (priced 20s. net); gentle, even sunning to spine and panels, mild wear to extremities, with a small tear to rear flap fold; quite presentable, Near Fine example.

Seventh printing of the 1937 trade edition published by John Lane (see Slocum & Cahoon A23, p.35). An attractive copy of Joyce's most enduring work, a towering giant of 20th century literature that needs little explanation, and ranked at the top of The Modern Library's 100 Best Novels list.
