Small octavo (16.25cm); bound in contemporary dark brown straight grain morocco, with titles and skull and crossbones motif gilt-stamped to spine compartments, triple-ruled gilt borders and blind-stamped decorations to boards; all edges gilt; glazed pale yellow endpapers; viii, 236, [8]pp ads. Minor shelfwear and rubbing, corners slightly bumped, with gilt at text edges beginning to dull; small armorial bookplate with ink ownership markings to front pastedown (Captain W.S. Wakefield, 4th Dragoons), and in pencil on first blank; near contemporary newspaper clipping about a haunting pasted to verso of half-title page, with minor spotting and thumbing to text; hinges sound; Very Good.
