Comments

A trilogy of novels by Waugh which loosely parallel his experiences during World War II. Waugh received the James Tait Black Memorial Prize for the 'Men At Arms,' and the trilogy is considered by many critics to be the finest novel series of the Second World War. Interesting bibliographic note: while the review slip for 'The End Of The Battle' supplies a proposed publication date of January 10, 1962, we have seen a set of comb-bound proofs which give a publication date of November 6, 1961.
