Quarto (28.5cm); vertically-ribbed navy blue cloth, with titles stamped in gilt, and colored pictorial label mounted within a gilt-ruled border on front cover; pictorial endpapers; publisher's original glassine overlay and pictorial card box; [x],261,pp, with frontispiece and 21 illustrations by Virginia Frances Sterrett, ten of these in color, with accompanying tissue guards. Faint, tiny spot to upper right edge of textblock, else a fresh, Fine copy, with only half of the glassine present. Publisher's box shows modest wear to extremities, some toning, with a few splits along the seams of the lid; unrepaired, Very Good and sound.
