Inscribed by the author on the half-title page in the year of publication to fellow Montana author, screenwriter, and outdoorsman William "Gatz" Hjortsberg: "For Gatz / Livingston / September 5 / Russell Chatham / Deep Creek / 1984." Light wear to extremities, faint vertical crease and some gentle sunning along left edge of front wrapper, with a faint sticker shadow at upper right corner of half-title page; contents clean; Very Good+ or better.
