Baltimore: Globe Poster Printing Corp. 1988. Sharp poster for Virginia State University's Homecoming Extravaganza, held October 1, 1988. Headlining the event was American rapper Kool Moe Dee (b.Mohandas Dewese), with supporting act Experience Unlimited (E.U.), a DC-based go-go/funk group who were at the height of their popularity, thanks to their hit single "Da Butt," which appeared in Spike Lee's 1988 film School Daze. A beautiful example of hip-hop poster printing by the Baltimore-based Globe Poster Printing Corp., who printed a promotional poster for a who's-who of musicians since 1929 on their Heidelberg Windmill letterpress.
