New York: St. Martin's Press, 1987. First Edition. New. Item #419
First Printing. A Fine copy in a Near Fine, unclipped dustjacket. Very gently nudged at the crown of the jacket's spine, else Fine. This copy belonged to noted science fiction author Philip José Farmer, inscribed to him by Willeford in the year of publication: "To Philp José Farmer, All the best - Truly - Charles Willeford. Jan 20, 1987." Though nothing has been written about the relationship between the two authors, one can surmise they met through Dennis McMillan, who published both authors during the 80's. Fame came to Willeford later in his career, though by the time of this inscription, Farmer had already extablished his reputation. This is the third Hoke Moseley novel, the last title he would have done book signings for before dying in early 1988. Though generic inscriptions by WIlleford will turn up, associations like this are genuinely scarce.
