Octavo (24cm); red-orange cloth, with titles stamped in gilt on spine and decorative elements in blind to front cover; red-orange topstain; dustjacket; [viii],118,pp; illus. Signed by the illustrator on the half-title page: "Nancy Ekholm Burkert / East Orleans, MA / October 10, 2005." Fine in a bright, very Near Fine dustjacket, unclipped (priced $3.95), with a 1cm closed tear to upper front flap fold. Laid into this copy is a postcard from Burkert to the original owner, with a holograph note: "I a leaving shortly for a trip to Italy - I will be returned here again in October - send books then - if the James is not a good hardcover printing, I prefer not to sign. Best in haste / N.E.B."
