Brown's early work was a clear influence on Willeford's own writing, and Willeford considered himself one of the author's biggest fans, ranking his work in the same category as that of Max Brand, Jim Thompson, Raoul Whitfield, and Cornell Woolrich. 4pp, typed on rectos only, with numerous holograph corrections and changes in the author's hand. Toning from paperclip to upper margin of first and last leaf, else Fine. Together with publisher's file envelope containing a 2pp typed customer list for the published book, as well as ca.30 invoices and shipping manifests for book sales to subscribers. Together with a Fine, unread copy of Fredric Brown's 'Sex Life on the Planet Mars', 1/400 copies signed by Willeford - this copy still in the publisher's original shrinkwrap.
