[Bensenville: Mimeo Press, 1965]. First Edition. Original mimeographed broadside titled 'MIMEO PRESS SOAP-OPERA,' announcing two new volumes published by Douglas Blazek's Mimeo Press, featuring the work of William Wantling and Charles Bukowski. While the titles are not mentioned, the announcement is for Wantling's 'Down, Off & Out' and Bukowski's 'Confessions of a Man Insane Enough to Live With Beasts' - Bukowski's first book of prose. While 'Confessions' is listed in both Dorbin's and Krumhansl's bibliographies, neither bears any mention of this announcement. Blazek's endoresement is fitting: "Charles Bukowski will be the author fo the second bk -- a long rambling essay of the type which appears in OLE #2. it wd be indecent to say something abt buk. words do him no honor. the man, himself, is his greatest tribute." Quite rare - this being only the second example we have seen, and not listed in OCLC. Not in DenBoer's bibliography of Douglas Blazek. cf. Dorbin A8; Krumhansl 17. Item #1545
Single sheet of white stock measuring 8.5 x 11 inches, mimeographed in purple ink. Faint horizontal fold at center, with a few faint spots of foxing; purple ink subtly faded in a few sections, though all text remains perfectly legible; Very Good+ to Near Fine.
